Even today they are very popular. Popularly known as Padwali which means having layers. This salty biscuit is very delicate and very light. Another very popular teatime biscuit. A very popular sweet biscuit flavoured with nutmeg and cardmom. Eaten mostly during festivals like Diwali and Raksha Bandhan. Can be made with pure ghee as well as regular vegetalbe shortening.
